Smart 8-speed drivetrain (8-speed drivetrains last much longer than 9 or 10-speed drivetrains due to wider cogs and chain)

Smart, upright, swept-back bars come standard on the bike. These bars are very sensible for commuting: they shift your weight back onto your butt, off your wrists; the position opens up your chest for easier breathing; and the position gives you a much broader field of vision which is especially advantageous when riding in traffic!

The frame, made of durable Reynolds 520 double butted Cro-moly steel, has plenty of room for fenders. it is complete with braze-ons for front and rear racks and it features a long wheel base so you don't have to worry about toe-clip overlap, or brushing your heels on your rear panniers.

Upgraded features include all-metal pedals, adjustable quill style stem, higher quality and more durable brake calipers, square-taper bottom bracket for added ßversitility, and kevlar belted 700c x 32 tires

Citybikes offers the only XXL Urban Xpress available. We have a custom, 25 inch frame size for all the tall people out there!

We take our customized Citybikes Urban Xpress and put on alloy drop bars with bar-end shifters, linear pull brakes, upgraded touring tires, and your choice of bar tape to complete an affordable touring bike that is attractive, comfortable, and durable. The Tour Xpress is so versatile, it can cruise down the coast to San Francisco, or brave a mountain range on dirt roads.

At $685 it is almost $300 less than the Surly Long Haul Trucker with many of the same components!
